At Tablivique, we respect the privacy of people who visit our website, place orders, contact our team, or otherwise interact with our business. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we may collect, why we use it, how we handle it, and the choices available to you.
Tablivique operates exclusively in Hong Kong, and our services are available only for deliveries within Hong Kong.
This Policy is intended to operate in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong (PDPO) and its applicable Data Protection Principles.
Depending on how you interact with Tablivique, we may collect information such as:
Name
Email address
Telephone or mobile number
Hong Kong delivery address
Order and product information
Delivery and collection details
Communications you send to us
Information concerning a return, replacement, or refund request
Bank account information where a refund is processed by bank transfer
We seek to collect information that is relevant to the purpose for which it is required and avoid requesting information that is unnecessary for that purpose. The PDPO's first Data Protection Principle requires personal data to be collected lawfully and fairly for purposes directly related to the data user's functions or activities.
Information provided to Tablivique may be used to:
Process and manage orders;
Arrange delivery within Hong Kong;
Contact customers regarding their orders;
Respond to enquiries and customer-service requests;
Arrange accepted return collections;
Process replacements;
Process refunds by bank transfer;
Maintain transaction and business records;
Address complaints or disputes;
Meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements; and
Maintain and operate our website and related business systems.
We do not use personal information for an unrelated purpose unless permitted by applicable law or the relevant consent or permission has been obtained where required.
Tablivique operates on a cash-on-delivery basis. We therefore do not ordinarily need to collect card numbers, online payment credentials, or similar electronic payment information to complete an order.
Payment is made in cash when the order reaches the customer's Hong Kong delivery address.
Where an eligible refund is required, Tablivique processes the refund through bank transfer.
We will contact the customer by email and request the bank information reasonably required to make the transfer. Customers should provide only the information needed for this purpose and should review their details before sending them.
Once the necessary information has been received, the refund transfer will generally be initiated within 1 working day. The receiving bank may require approximately 5–7 business days for the amount to appear in the customer's account.
We may provide relevant personal information to service providers or other parties where this is reasonably necessary to operate our business or fulfill a customer's request.
For example, information may need to be provided to delivery personnel or logistics providers so that an order can reach the specified Hong Kong address or an accepted return can be collected.
Where external parties handle personal information on our behalf, Tablivique takes practicable steps appropriate to the circumstances to safeguard the information and limit its use to the relevant purpose.
The PDPO requires data users to take practicable steps to protect personal data against unsolicited or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss, or use.
Where Tablivique conducts direct marketing using personal data, we will comply with the applicable requirements of the PDPO.
Direct marketing use of personal data is subject to specific requirements under Hong Kong's privacy framework, including requirements concerning consent and the right to cease receiving direct marketing communications.
You may contact us if you do not wish your personal information to be used for direct marketing purposes.
We will not make access to our core purchasing service conditional on a customer's agreement to receive direct marketing. The PCPD has specifically addressed the importance of allowing customers to make a separate choice regarding direct marketing.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including order administration, customer service, returns, refunds, record keeping, dispute handling, and compliance with applicable legal requirements.
The PDPO's Data Protection Principle 2 addresses accuracy and retention and provides that personal data should not be retained longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it is used.
We take practicable measures appropriate to the circumstances to protect personal information against unsolicited access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or other improper use.
However, customers should also take reasonable precautions when communicating personal or banking information online, including checking the recipient and information supplied before submitting it.
Under the PDPO, individuals have rights concerning access to and correction of their personal data, subject to applicable legal provisions and exemptions.
If you believe information held by Tablivique is inaccurate or wish to make a data access request, please contact us using the details below. The PDPO's sixth Data Protection Principle addresses access to and correction of personal data.
